Inspiration
We were inspired by roommates who struggled to wake up with loud alarms and cold showers. They woke up better with cold showers, but hated stepping into the cold shower in the morning. Instead, we propose a device that sets the shower handle at a warm temperature and eventually moves to a much colder temperature.
What it does
The actuation of the handle is controlled by a simple Arduino-servo circuit. It can be hard-coded to adjust the rate of temperature change and base temperatures.
How we built it
We 3D printed an example handle and connected it to the servo.
Challenges we ran into
Considering the plausibility of the device in a moist environment.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A working bare-bones prototype
