Inspiration
My group has found that there has been a lot of complaints about the original SGSecure app. So we decided to make an improved version
What it does
Allow for anonymous report submission to allow for more cohesive and interworking society by enabling the community to provide valuable information to the appropriate emergency services.
How we built it
Frontend built on Bootstrap, Backend using a Nodejs express server that relies on RESTful api, and Postgres as our database. Axios is mainly used to make the requests from frontend to backend. Express listens to the calls and calls the appropriate functions. App hosted on heroku
Challenges we ran into
No time keeper, project was almost overdue
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Completing the application and learning how to use several modules that we have not used before
