ADDitive+ Study Tracker

We took inspiration from the etymology of the words: "ADD" (Attention Deficit Disorder) and "additive", which is a substance added in small amounts to something else to improve, strengthen, or otherwise alter it. From the name ADDitive+, we hope we could be "the substance" that can strengthen and polish the user’s focus/productivity.

What it does:

Our webpage has a study tracker for both students with or without psychiatric disorder to use, as such, if they have finished their task on time and recorded it in our database, it will donate $2 to ADHD organizations.

How we built it:

We built the website demo with basic web development languages: CSS, html and JavaScript on, and prototype with Figma.

Challenges we ran into:

The demo turned out to be much more different that what we have thought when we designed the user interface, as it was hard to code the program with such a short amount of time, and there are some hindrances when using, such as the lack of support from exported scripts and internet connection when using multiplayer version. We also experienced challenges in redirecting the page for log in and the layout of the timer and to-do list. It is also difficult to build a well-established database for users and donations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

Although our team comprises girls from different countries, our passion for our project is on the same level. We have fun working on it, and creating something that could be very meaningful to the community.

What we learned:

We have gained a lot in workshops from Elevate Hacks, especially in pitching. While working on our project, we have also become more acquainted with web development skills and curating prototypes.

What's next from us:

Of course, if we have time, we will continue to work on this project. We will see how we did it from Elevate Hacks.
