Inspiration

During the last hackathon, I added daily rewards to my world, and I struggled to make it work in a reliable way. This submission is my contribution to speed up the process and allow more creators to use this powerful tool to enhance their monetization.

What it does

This is a tutorial on how to use the Daily Rewards asset in the Meta Horizon Worlds Editor public asset library. The goal is to make it simple and accessible for every creator, even newcomers.

How we built it

It was written in Markdown directly on GitHub, with the help of some photo editing software to create and record images.

Challenges we ran into

Creating a short video for the tutorial was a struggle at first. I didn’t want a classic, long video, so I looked online and found the Widget of the Week videos by the Flutter team. I tried to use the same concept: a short, dynamic video that shows the essentials.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I find the tutorial video engaging in this “Asset of the Week” format, and it can be reused with many components of the system to help creators better understand what Horizon Worlds can do!

What we learned

This was my first tutorial for Meta Horizon Worlds and also my first written in Markdown. Making the video was also a challenge, but I learned a lot in all of these areas, and it helped me better understand some functionalities of the asset system.

What's next

If this work is useful to the community, more tutorials may be coming — and why not continue the Widget of the Week series!
