## Inspiration We are all attending a health-science-oriented school where this app first started as a WECHS H.E.A.L.S. project to help support the SDG 3.5 target goals. Last December, we presented this app in front of judges and other parents during our symposium and ended up winning first place in the 9th-grade competition. From there, we worked on improving our app daily with guidance from our assigned intern to participate in ReadySetApp.
## What it does Through journaling, beneficial information from certified people, videos, and motivation, this app is intended to primarily help teenagers and anybody above the age of 12 kickstart their drug addiction recovery journey because everyone deserves a second chance.
## How we built it This app was built on the code.org platform.
## Challenges we ran into Only one of us had prior knowledge of coding, but we focused on building our understanding through our journey. Moreover, it became hard to work outside of school as we had busy schedules.
## Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud of building this app with little to no prior knowledge of coding, especially our accessibility features that help offer our app to a wider audience.
## What we learned We learned time management skills, how to work in a group effectively, the basics of JavaScript, and more about SDG 3.5.
## What's next for ADASA We want to partner with bigger organizations such as SAMHSA or Wake Monarch Academy to gain recognition and have people use our app. Furthermore, we also wish to have a proper firebase to protect our users' privacy, include an option where people can connect with others through video calls, and send daily reminders and motivational quotes to the phone.
