Adaptive Lighting Home System

Inspiration

We both have elderly grandparents with vision and mobility problems. We thought of ways to help them

What it does

Our project automates some of the things elderly people struggle with, such as lighting and climate controls. This increases their safety and reduces risk of injury.

How we built it

We built it using an Arduino, breadboards, LEDs and connecting leads. The model house is built of cardboard

Challenges we ran into

We struggled with wiring and balancing current in the LEDs, we solved this by adding more circuits and resistors.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of building the entire environment and troubleshooting issues all within 24 hours.

What we learned

We learnt a lot about how utilize use AI and LLMs to increase productivity and speed. We also learnt how to troubleshoot technical and wiring issues.

What's next for Adaptive Lighting Home System

We are going to add more features, such as adaptive lighting, customizable features and remote controls.
