Inspiration

For the past 3 years I've been building data warehouses for ecom brands that power insights and support marketing teams. One thing I see a lot of marketeers not do is look past the sale. A campaign might bring in a lot of new clients but if the clients don't stay or don't spend a lot of money it might not be worth the marketing spend. The hackaton was my chance the build an app around this idea.

What it does

Bring together your marketing information from a lot of different sources to give you a birds eye view of how your ad spend is being deployed and generating you revenue.

How we built it

We've mainly focused on reporting and integrating data using intuitive UI. Bolt did most of the heavy lifting even writing to code to integrate the platforms using Supabase Edge Functions. I wanted to focus on staying within bolt and not setting up any data infrastructure (Orchastrato, pipelines and forecasting tools)

Challenges we ran into

Everything that was not bolt, it's a pain to set up integrations with different platforms, requesting tokens, fiddeling with permissions etc.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Integrating with Meta and Shopify and using AI. Having a UI online

What we learned

My main learning is how far bolt and other AI code generators are. I'm impressed! I've learned a lot about prompting as well thanks to the different life streams. I'd call myself an AI enthousiast but it was still a rewarding experience.

What's next for Ad Prophet

Data infrastructure! It's time to set up some pipelines for advanced insights. I'll definitly pitch this to a couple of brands to see if their is product market fit.
