Inspiration
We were truly inspired by Gabby's story - by the idea that people really do need a cool, fun, and engaging service built around dreams and goals, something that encourages them and makes them want to move forward.
We wanted every challenge to push people to take action, to spark healthy competition with others, and to inspire them to grow and become better.
We imagined the whole journey - from home to one's dream - as a big game, where you strive to win and make your life brighter, not just to want something for the sake of wanting.
When you feel that you're on the same wavelength with others, that you're not alone — that there are many of you all around the world - you move, you grow.
Achieving goals and dreams becomes a habit. The world is simpler than it seems when you truly want something, and we'll be happy if our app helps others want again.
No Risk - No Story
What it does
Our app serves as a beacon for people, showing that we are all part of the game of dreams. On the planet, you can see people from every corner of the world — every visitor is constantly updated with markers and new faces.
You subconsciously feel that at any stage of your goal or dream, you're on the same wavelength with someone — that, at this very moment, somewhere in the world, someone is pursuing their own goal and dream, breaking it into small steps.
They earn achievements and experience, compete in leagues, try themselves in duels where they have to go out and take a photo of a given task — and simply improve. We really wanted the time spent in the app to feel like a mini-game. Where by improving your life, you gain something and others can see it. Where the presence of other people encourages and pushes you to get better, and you never feel alone.
Key Features:
- Daily challenges for engagement and motivation
- Dreams and goals tracking for accomplishment
- Duels for interaction and competitive fun
- Global planet view showing dreamers worldwide
- Achievement and experience system
- League competition
The app constantly reminds you: we are in the game — play and improve your life, and we will reward you. You're close to your dream together with others, so let's move forward together.
We were so inspired by Gabby's stories that we even made the mascot as a little Easter egg resembling her. We hope she will like it.
How we built it
We set up the database through Firebase, as well as authentication, where we collect Name, Avatar, and Email. Duels also work through Firebase and are verified using AI from huggingface.co, then the results are saved as images, and we get a link to the photo.
Monetization is done via RevenueCat with a monthly subscription. In the future, we plan to add energy and microtransactions for in-app customization purchases, as well as improvements to the mascot.
Goals, Dreams, and Challenges work not only through Firebase but also through SharedPreferences, so even users with a weak internet connection can enjoy the app. Goals are broken down into small sub-tasks, making it easier to accomplish them step by step instead of taking huge leaps.
Technical Architecture:
| Component | Technology | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Database | Firebase | Real-time data sync |
| Authentication | Firebase Auth | User management |
| Monetization | RevenueCat | Subscription handling |
| AI Verification | Hugging Face | Duel photo validation |
| Local Storage | SharedPreferences | Offline functionality |
Achievements are also managed through SharedPreferences, while Leagues and Statistics are pulled from Firebase. Premium status is verified at both the RevenueCat and Firebase level.
Challenges we ran into
In some parts, we lacked the knowledge to implement things properly and beautifully. Sometimes we had to redo features several times to achieve a good result.
The planet feature was a separate challenge, but we really wanted users to feel that they're not alone - that they're fighting for their dream life together with others.
Everything else went smoothly and turned out great. RevenueCat is an incredibly convenient service - your documentation is awesome and very clear. Thank you for that.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Firebase authentication, duels, challenges, experience points, user interactions, and photo battles - all designed to inspire people not to stay at home but to move, explore, and take real steps toward their dreams.
Breaking big goals into many smaller ones, with daily challenges that push people to take action and stay motivated every day.
We want the app to make progress feel simple and fun - turning personal growth into a game where every small victory matters.
What we learned
We learned how to work with RevenueCat, create cool animations and fun transitions, break goals into many small parts, add a mascot, build onboarding, and simplify data in the Firebase database.
And honestly, we really enjoyed it. I became good friends with the guy I worked with during your hackathon; he turned out to be from Ukraine too.
