Inspiration
We were inspired by existing survival games and problems that people face like rushing to the store to stock up on food and daily necessities, and people get so lonely and bored that they go out just to talk to stall owners.
What it does
It is a game that raises awareness of COVID-19, while allowing people to relax.
How we built it
We built our first prototype on Google Slides, then converted it to a Flutter app.
Challenges we ran into
We faced many challenges including time constraints, making sure the game is educational and is able to help raise awareness about COVID-19
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Made successful prototypes on google slides and google forms Enrolled in coding classes to learn to build apps First prototype has 215 players. Second prototype has 75 players. 2 players MVP app
What we learned
We have improved our skills in terms of programming and brainstorming, and we have also learned how to think critically to ensure that our product is not too simple nor complex.
What's next for ACSI YIS - The COVID-19 Survival Guide
We plan to develop the game further to include more connectivity features such as a calling feature where people can talk to each other while playing the game.
