Inspiration
Acne isn't just a skin problem, it's a confidence problem. You try product after product and never really know what's working, just spending money on hope. We built AcneLabs to replace that guessing with proof.
What it does
Tracks your routine and your skin side by side: log what you're using, get an ingredient-level breakdown and compatibility score for each product, and see daily skin analysis plus before-and-after comparisons that show what's actually working.
How we built it
React Native, acne analysis ml model, supabase for the backend (tech stack so far).
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge hasn't been technical, it's been marketing. We know this is a real, painful problem for a lot of people, but figuring out how to reach them and get them to sign up for the waitlist has been hard, especially coming from a technical background with no formal marketing experience.

a working before/after comparison tool, and a waitlist live and taking signups
What we learned
There are a lot of products out there trying to tackle this same problem, but most of them are just trying to sell you more products, and that's not what people actually want. They want clarity on what they already have.
What's next for acneLabs
getting the skincare ingredients database and analysis model working :)
