Inspiration
I've wanted to build something and had many ideas but did not know if they were wanted. The plan for aClarity was to have one feature: gathering data, analyzing for top pain points, and generating a software idea that solves that pain.
I had that idea, but I was struggling because I did not have a plan—I didn’t know where to begin or how to do what I needed to do. So that's when the second feature came into the picture: a feature where users could get a tailored roadmap for their idea.
Together with all that came the idea to also have a feature that turns the tailored roadmap into Bolt.new-optimized prompts.
What it does
aClarity is an application where anyone—whether beginner or experienced—can find a validated software idea, a tailored roadmap for that idea, and Bolt.new-optimized prompts to start building.
You can also input your own pain points or struggles to get a new idea, or even just input your existing idea to get a customized roadmap and prompts.
How we built it
I used Bolt.new together with Supabase, and also integrated various APIs to power the features.
Challenges we ran into
One big challenge was creating the roadmap—I didn’t know where to begin, what steps to take, or how to build it. I had never used Bolt.new before, so everything was new to me.
I also ran into technical challenges, especially with prompts. I ended up using over 8 system prompts just for one of the AIs.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
An accomplishment I’m truly thankful for is that I managed to build this application with all its features—Alhamdulillah.
What we learned
I've learned a lot about software development as a whole—front-end, back-end, APIs, and AI.
What's next for aClarity
I would like to launch aClarity and get real users onboard.
