Inspiration

For many students, SAT preparation is not simply an academic challenge. It is a problem of access.

Private tutors, structured preparation, and high-quality guidance can be expensive. Teachers also have limited time and large numbers of students to support. Students are often left trying to figure out what to study, what they are doing wrong, and how to improve — while managing limited time, stress, and exam pressure.

AceSAT was built around a simple belief: a student's access to effective preparation should not depend on how much they can afford.

What it does

AceSAT is an AI-powered learning agent, not just a chatbot.

It first understands the student's target score, test date, available study time, strengths, and weaknesses, then turns that information into a personalized path.

The agent can:

The goal is simple: less time guessing what to study, more time improving what actually matters.

How we built it

AceSAT is a full-stack web application with an AI-driven personalization layer.

It combines the student's profile, diagnostic results, practice performance, progress data, and AI-generated guidance to continuously shape what the student should do next.

We focused on a simple, lightweight, student-first experience rather than another overwhelming test-prep dashboard.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was turning the enormous amount of SAT preparation into something that feels clear instead of overwhelming.

We also had to balance AI-generated guidance with predictable learning flows while designing around real constraints: limited study time, approaching exam dates, stress, and the need for immediate direction.

Emergency Mode came from this problem: when a student has very little time left, studying everything is no longer realistic.

Accomplishments we're proud of

We are proud that AceSAT goes beyond simply generating questions.

The system connects:

Each stage informs what the student should do next.

We also built Emergency Mode, which prioritizes the areas with the greatest potential value when a student's exam is close — helping turn limited remaining time into a focused plan.

What we learned

We learned that effective educational AI is not about giving students more content.

It is about giving them better decisions.

A student who knows exactly what to work on next can make far better use of the same hour than a student facing hundreds of resources with no clear direction.

What's next for AceSAT

AceSAT's long-term goal is to make personalized SAT preparation more accessible to students who have fewer educational resources available to them.

Next, we want to expand adaptive learning, improve low-bandwidth accessibility, strengthen long-term progress intelligence, and make the agent more responsive to each student's changing needs.

The bigger vision is simple:
