Inspiration

AceAnything started when I was prepping for my DMV test and realized how terrible most of the available resources were. My friends were running into the same problem—bad UX, no customization, and zero feedback. That’s when I decided to build something smarter.

What it does

AceAnything is an AI-powered quiz platform that generates custom quizzes for any topic and gives instant, intelligent feedback. Unlike basic flashcard apps or general chat AI, it adapts to your learning style with detailed explanations, letting you prep effectively for anything—whether it's a driving test, a final exam, or a professional certification. Built for students and professionals, it targets the broad EdTech market.

How we built it

I built it solo using FastAPI for the backend, Google’s Gemini for AI reasoning, and Google Text-to-Speech for audio feedback. The frontend is built with Vue and Tailwind, and the whole thing runs clean and fast.

Challenges we ran into

File uploads were a pain to manage cleanly, and Gemini’s rate limits added extra friction during development. Balancing features while keeping everything intuitive wasn’t easy either.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The biggest win? It’s ridiculously easy to use. People can jump in, generate a quiz, and start learning without a single tutorial. That kind of UX was a core goal from day one.

What we learned

I realized how important cloud infrastructure knowledge is. Hosting and deployment would’ve been smoother if I were more experienced with GCP or AWS—so that’s next on my personal roadmap.

What's next for AceAnything

Voice-first learning. I’m building out full voice conversations where you can quiz and learn while driving—like you’re on a call with your professor. Totally hands-free, totally smart. Future plans also include user accounts for progress tracking and a marketplace for sharing quizzes.
