Inspiration

Getting the right makeup look can always be difficult without guidance. The main goal of our project was to be able to get the right products for your intended look and give two different price options.

What it does

In this website we are able to click on a makeup look and get an insight of the products needed to recreate the look. We try to find a way to make makeup recreating easier and create a website that is user friendly so that we can help the most people. This project is for entertainment and we really hope that this is the best method for people to get advice on makeup looks.

How we built it

To build our project, we used React with Code Sandbox. This web app allowed us to collaborate with one another.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge we came across was not knowing how to use an API. Originally, we wanted to gather data as in the makeup products and its details to have various information displayed for each makeup look. However, with the time constraint, we decided to have that component for future development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Being able to collaborate together to achieve our desired goal and being able to improve our skills in 3 languages.

What we learned

All of our team members were new to React, so we learned how to use the syntax and the features of React. For example, one specific thing we learned was using Routes to connect the different files of our project together, so that users could be directed to different pages based on their selection.
