ACE IT

Inspiration

Many students experience challenges financing their college education. Money prevents some students from pursuing their college education. Through ACE IT, we hope to make money matters seem less of a barrier. Many prospective students are unaware of student aid and scholarships available. Furthermore, many students are unaware of the long-term impacts of taking out loans. We hope to make students more aware of these resources.

What it does

The website provides a wide range of resources for prospective students, including financial aid, scholarships, and loan information.

How we built it

For the user interface, we utilized WIX for design. For the student loan calculator, we used C++ to develop the results. For the student loan calculator, we used the initial value, interest rate and the time to calculate the accumulated loan debt at the end of the expected period. It also calculates the total accumulated loan interest.

**Challenges we ran into

We found it challenging to find a suitable platform to do both frontend and backend development as some team members were not familiar with certain languages and backend development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to design the UI and programmed the loan calculator using C++ without any bugs.

What we learned

Effective communication is key to hacking, and it is crucial to work with everyone's strengths. Figma and WIX are effective tools for trying to design a user interface in a shorter period of time.
