Inspiration

Learning accounting is overwhelming for most students and professionals. Textbooks are long, online tutorials are scattered, and traditional courses don't adapt to individual learning needs. We wanted to create a solution that makes accounting simple, interactive, and genuinely enjoyable — using AI to guide learners step by step. That’s how Accountinn was born.

What it does:

Accountinn is an AI-powered accounting learning app that delivers: Personalized lesson paths based on skill level Bite-sized readings & concept explanations Practical assignments and quick quizzes A friendly AI tutor that explains topics step by step Real-time feedback and progress tracking

How I built it:

I built Accountinn using: Frontend: HTML, JS Backend: Python, Flask AI Tutor: professional ebook data + custom prompt engineering Database: Firebase Design: Gemini Version control: GitHub All components work together to deliver a smooth, personalized, and interactive learning experience.

Challenges I ran into:

Designing AI prompts that give clear, step-by-step accounting explanations Structuring accounting content into bite-sized, adaptive lessons Building a smooth user interface for both beginners and advanced learners Ensuring the AI tutor responds accurately to accounting questions Time limitations during the hackathon

Successfully built a working prototype of Accountinn in a short time Created an interactive learning flow with personalized content Designed an AI tutor that feels friendly and supportive Built a clean, modern UI that users can navigate easily Positive feedback from early testers who said it finally made accounting make sense
