AccountBot

Many people fail to regualte their spending. My bot records the incomes and expenses in a secure and easily accessible format, and encourages users to keep track of their balance and not overspend.

Inspiration: I am inspired by my mom working at a job related to finance. She always emphasises how important personal accounting is, because not only does it track our balance but it also builds integrity.

What it does: My bot uses python to keep track of incomes and expenses and store the data in a text file so we can edit it across multiple sessions. We can insert transactions, undo our inputs, check our balance and check our balance change history.

How I built it: My previous programming knowledge and a handful of csv file tutorials.

Problems I ran into: csv file modification (solved), LINE chatbot API not working (unsolved)

Accomplishments I'm proud of: finally got this bot done, it is working well, I learned many new things

What I learned: csv file manipulation, LINE chatbot API, Discord bot creation

What's next for AccountBot: Integration into LINE and Discord for even easier daily life access
