Inspiration

We were inspired by Polimeter, an app that tracks Canadian Prime Ministers and their campaign promises, showing if they've kept their promises and applied that to CEO's and Presidents of large corporations

What it does

Accountable queries for a given company and highlights the top executives of the company and any promises the company has made over it's lifetime alongside the status of the given promises.

How we built it

We built Accountable with a Frontend comprised of ReactJS, Material UI and Tailwind CSS. As for the backend we used NodeJS, Strapi and PostgreSQL for storing the data entries and displaying them with their corresponding tags

Challenges we ran into

We had a data display issue where the frontend was getting data but was displaying it as null

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We got a realtime data filter that only shows relevant search queries

What we learned

We learned how to ideate and iterate projects as well as implementing component rendering for a smoother user experience

What's next for Accountable

Try to find beta users that wish to add content and grant them permissions to so that they can develop and maintain the companies and the promises attached to them.
