Inspiration
In the event of a road accident, timely communication with family members and well-wishers of the victim can be crucial in ensuring prompt medical assistance and support. However, there is no efficient system to automatically notify the registered mails when an accident occurs.
What it does
This project aims to develop an Accident Tracking System, where vehicle owners can register their number plates along with emergency contact (mails) details (parents, family, friends, or well-wishers). In case of an accident, any bystander can upload the vehicle’s number plate on the website, triggering an automated notification to the registered contacts. This will help in reducing response time, improving emergency assistance, and potentially saving lives.
How we built it
Accident Registration: When an accident is detected or reported, the system automatically registers the incident. An OTP (One-Time Password) is sent to pre-registered phone numbers to confirm and authenticate the accident report. This ensures that emergency mails, authorities, or medical services are alerted immediately for quick response. User Signup & Vehicle Registration: Users must sign up by providing their vehicle’s number plate along with two emergency contact numbers. These registered mails will be used to receive alerts in case of an accident. The system maintains a secure database for storing user and vehicle information.
