515-Road Accident Safety System

"A Safe Ride, A Brighter Tomorrow..."

Inspiration

In India there are many deaths approximately more than 150000 deaths due to road accidents and this rate keeps increasing year by year and the main reason behind this is lack of accident-prone area caution boards. So we need to developed Road Safety Tool to integrate accident data, weather information, with Google Maps, providing passengers with real-time notifications about accident-prone areas, optimum speed limits, weather forecasts, and road blockages, for enhancing passenger safety and reducing the chances of road accidents.

What it does

The Road Safety system will give an notification about accident prone area. so basically is passenger is travelling and around 100m if their is accident prone area so in this situation passenger can received the notification about the accident prone area.

How we built it

We utilized the Android Studio to develop the frontend of our project. Subsequently, we sent requests to the backend through APIs and retrieved data from it. This enabled us to visualize accident-prone areas and send notifications to users. Additionally, we incorporated Flask framework into our project for seamless functionality.

Challenges we ran into

In this project we face the challenges like integrating google map and send notification to users it is new to us so for this we face challenge.

Learned team work, Working and successfully implementing unfamiliar technology within 24 hours time duration.

What we learned

In this we learn Collaborating with a team and how to communicate and work effectively with others. Developed new technical skills by working on projects that used unfamiliar tools and technologies. Getting feedback on our work from industrial experts and learning how to iteratively improve upon the provided feedback. Learned on how to think creatively and innovatively to come up with unique solutions which can solve real world problems.
