Inspiration
This project is very close to us as one of our teammates recently lost a family member due to lack of immediate medical attention after an accident. With this project, we aim to provide medical care in the shortest possible time by automating the process of calling for help.
What it does
With the help of this project, we notify the nearby hospitals and families of the driver about the accident to provide medical attention in the shortest time. A common server is created on which the information about the crash is stored and sent to the nearby hospitals to provide medical care. As soon as a hospital attends to the patient of the crash the server checks the case and the family members are informed about the hospital handling the case.

Challenges we ran into
The API of google maps is paid as of now we didn't have resources for it , hence we faced difficulty in sending location of crash to the hospitals , so we had to find alternatives for it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We believe that this idea has great potential , building around such an idea and creating a process that would help saving lives made us proud. We are also happy about the fact that in a short time span we are able to create an almost working prototype of this project.

What's next for Accident Monitor
With more time and resources this project can be made much more efficient. We can find a more accurate parameter for estimating the degree of impact for determining if the accident is major or minor. Thermal sensors can be inserted in cars to get an idea about the number of people involved in the accident so that hospitals can make arrangements prior to the arrival of the patients. In case the nearby 5 hospitals cannot respond to the crash a second round can be added to notify the next nearest 5 hospitals. Another server can be made which provides the information about the crash to the nearby Police Stations and Fire Stations if necessary. Maps can be integrated to help find the Ambulance the most efficient route to the hospital
