ACCIDENT ALERT SYSTEM(AAS)

Aim of our project- To help a person who has met with an accident with the help of open CV, automatic air bag sensor and GPS by sending the location of the accident to the nearest hospital as soon as accident happen.

Problem statement- 1.As indicated by the national crime record almost 24,000 individuals die every day because of
ambulance called late or sometimes ambulance is never called. 2.Sometimes accident happens in an isolated area where no one is around to help the victim and due to the reason victims condition becomes more critical and the victim can even die.

Understanding our solution with an example- Let us consider that there is a man of age 50 driving a car and he met with an accident. There is no one around him to help him or call the ambulance , now our Ai based project will come in work . It will detect that an accident has happened and then it will automatically make a call to the nearest hospital and police station and with the help of GPS it will send the exact location to hospital.

UNDERSTANDING AAS TECHNICALLY 1)Now lets understand how will our model will get to know about accident. As we know Air bags of car get opened whenever there is an accident and to detect the opening of air bag there will be pre – installed switch ( or we can directly connect nodemcu with air bag sensor which detect sudden change in car pressure) and then it will automatically send hospital message about accident. 2)But in some cases air bags of car does not open even after a really bad accident in that case with the help of deep learning algorithm (image processing) and computer vision(camera will be installed at the back of the car) our Ai model will predict accident and then it will call nearest hospital and police station . 3)It will also tell the location where accident happened with the help of GPS module.

Novelty

1)Ai will be acting as a personal assistant which will automatically call nearby hospital with address(location) of accident . 2)According to a study it was found that 24,012 people die every day because of ambulance not called on time or ambulance not called at all. Our Ai model will be solving this problem . 3)No one has yet worked on this project but I believe this project has potential to save many lives.
