AccessTrip is a personalized travel planner that curates accessible and culturally aligned itineraries based on a user's unique tastes. The goal is to make travel more inclusive, especially for those with specific accessibility needs, while tailoring every suggestion to what the user genuinely enjoys, whether that’s a love for jazz, vegan food, or art festivals.

How it works

The experience begins with a simple onboarding flow. Users enter their name and describe their favorite music, food, interests, and more. We use Qloo’s Taste API to analyze these cultural preferences and generate a taste profile. Users then select the type of trip they’re planning (short or long), the kind of experience they want (relaxed, adventurous, romantic, etc.), and any accessibility requirements such as wheelchair-friendly venues, sensory-friendly places, or quiet environments.

Using the user’s taste data and preferences, we call Gemini AI to generate a personalized travel itinerary that includes accessible spots, local recommendations, and culturally relevant suggestions. There’s no login or signup required, and everything is designed to feel simple, warm, and thoughtful.

How we built it

We built AccessTrip using React and Tailwind CSS for a fast and modular frontend development experience. Qloo powers the cultural taste analysis, while Gemini generates dynamic, human-like itineraries based on the inputs.
