Inspiration

💡 Me and my wife live with disabilities. We are always on the lookout for accessible places to visit but finding accessible places are very hard. Several times we have visited a place which says it has a wheelchair ramp access only to find that they have a step inside.

What it does

AccessPath has community curated accessible places like shopping center, cafe, museum, recreational places etc. Places can be filtered according to different disabilities like mobility, visual, hearing and cognitive.

  • Advanced filters like wheelchair access♿, braille signage⠃⠗⠁⠊⠇⠇⠑, audio descriptions🎧 etc. can help further to find places to visit for those with special needs.

  • Accessible places 📍 can be added easily by typing the name of the place and selecting it from the drop down 🗺️ (thanks to Google Places API).

  • Each place can be marked for the accessibility features they offer for specific disabilities along with the picture 📸 .
