Inspiration

My accessibility journey began when the State of Colorado adopted its Digital Accessibility Law. Almost overnight, economic planners, urban designers, and city development teams were expected to produce accessible documents — often hundreds or thousands of pages — for public posting.

The reality? Most teams were completely unprepared. Their templates had been inaccessible for years, and tools like Adobe Acrobat were slow, confusing, and required a steep learning curve. What should have been routine document production suddenly became a major bottleneck: deadlines slipped, budgets stretched, and accessibility work became manual, painful, and expensive.

This problem inspired me to build Access Lens — a simple tool anyone can use to instantly turn an inaccessible PDF into a clean, screen-reader-friendly webpage.

What it does

It gives code to make websites more accessible and creates PDFs to be more accessible. Send accessibility reports to email inbox.

How we built it

Lovable allowed me to iterate quickly, refine components with natural language, and ship a functional MVP in hours instead of weeks.
