Inspiration

When people have to travel to new places and have to wonder how accessible they are, there's no way to tell on google maps or other resources the accessibility of the place. In order to empower people who are not freely able to traverse these places, we decided to make a website for giving ratings on the accessibility levels.

What it does

This website gives the user information regarding locations they search for. For example, if you want to evaluate the accessibility of SFU and how easy it is to navigate the place in regards to ramps or stairs, you can leave a rating from 1-5 and leave comments for people to read. This will help everyone else viewing the place understand how accessible it is along with tips are tricks.

How we built it

We used HTML, CSS, PHP, and Javascript to make a responsive website that uses Google's API.

Challenges we ran into

This was the first time the four of us collaborated together, additionally, we expanded our horizons by learning new languages and APIs. We came across a lot of issues in determining the proper method to achieve our goals.
