Inspiration
We're all passionate about the healthcare industry along with computer science, so we wanted to find a way to combine these passions for the betterment of USC
What it does
An iOS app that allows users to input specific accessible features they are looking for around campus and then displays points on buildings with those features
How we built it
For the frontend, we primarily used Swift and Firebase and for the backend we used SQL, Azure, and NodeJS
Challenges we ran into
We ran out of time to incorporate the backend with the frontend, so the current demo only shows a few hardcoded points.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're really proud of how much we were able to accomplish in a day for this big project.
What we learned
We learned a lot about full-stack development and how to design and implement a large project on our own.
What's next for AccesSC
We want to combine the backend and frontend to show users accurate data about each building. We also want to make it so that users can post about accessibility features and locations around all of LA. We would also like to show users directions to a building that they select
