With all the movements that have rose to prominence within the last few months, many people have struggled to talk about these topics with their loved ones who do not speak English fluently. According to the Washington Post, “66 million U.S. residents ages 5 and older — 21.6 percent of that population — speak a language other than English at home.”

Non-English speaking people in the United States struggle to find reliable resources in their native languages; the majority of material is written only in English. In response to this problem, we wanted to create a platform that allows users to translate resources into various languages so that non-fluent English speakers living in the United States can access important information and stay informed about contemporary issues.
