Inspiration

We were inspired to digital divide. We recognized that access to technology is crucial for education, job opportunities, and personal growth. By providing refurbished devices to underserved communities, we aim to empower individuals and families, ensuring they have the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

What it does

Our project focuses on collecting, refurbishing, and distributing technology to those in need. We work to ensure that devices are not only functional but also user-friendly, providing the necessary support and resources to help recipients maximize their potential. Through this initiative, we strive to transform lives and create a more equitable society.

How we built it

We used React and Next.js, to create a dynamic and responsive platform. This involved utilizing a variety of components, which allowed us to build a user-friendly interface.

Challenges we ran into

While developing the project, we encountered significant challenges with version control on GitHub. Coordinating contributions from multiple team members sometimes led to conflicts and confusion. We had to navigate these hurdles by improving our branching strategies and enhancing our communication, ultimately leading to a more structured approach to collaboration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We take immense pride in successfully bringing our project to completion. The platform is fully operational, allowing us to efficiently connect those in need with refurbished technology. Our team’s hard work has culminated in a seamless experience for users, and we are excited to witness the positive impact our initiative will have on the community.

What we learned

Throughout the development process, we gained valuable insights into using Leaflet for interactive mapping solutions. This technology enabled us to visualize the locations of our resources and recipients, enhancing our ability to manage logistics effectively. We also learned the importance of adaptability and teamwork in overcoming technical challenges.
