Inspiration

to be completed in hard deadline

What it does

This web application is designed to provide comfortable interactions between those working onsite and those working from home

How we built it

we used python as the main programming languages with flask to make the web server and used html files as templates which the flask web server modifies with the user's data

Challenges we ran into

Learning flask was one of the main issues we ran into when making this. This because this is our first time trying to use it and with short time span, it was hard to learn the fundamentals well. Other issues we ran into was the graphical design as it didn't require our knowledge in coding but our knowledge in graphics design. This cost us a lot of time as we had to start at the very bottom and work our way up.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

In this short time span, we have made a website that is interactable with the user and is something that mimics our main goal - a simple to use website. With all these factors playing against us, we are proud to have accomplished what we have done so far and allows us to stay motivated with future development of acasia.

What we learned

we learnt how to co-operate as a team and handle tasks, we also learnt on how to use flask within 24 hours.

The future of Acasia:

we will be implementing the various ideas that were left out due to the time limit such as:

  • a chat where it checks if your status is the same it recommends a chat room with each other.
  • recommends to chat with new and other people who you haven't talked with people.
  • awards points for completing tasks and communicating with people which they can later use for "buying" things such as holidays and raises.
  • has location as part of status so it can calculate the exact timing for tasks and meetings from places abroad. ## NOTES Some of these are just ideas that were unfeasible to be prototyped within 24 hours and as of little experience using Flask and stuff.
