Inspiration

Last semester, I was completely overwhelmed by assignments, group projects, presentations, and exam preparation all happening simultaneously. I often forgot deadlines until reminded by friends at the last minute. In group projects, I ended up doing most of the work while others barely contributed. My files and lecture notes were scattered everywhere. I realized that this wasn't just my problem, but that 80% of students struggle with procrastination and poor assignment management. This personal experience became the inspiration for AcadFlow.

What it does

AcadFlow is an all-in-one smart academic command center that helps university students.
It allows students to:
Track solo & team assignments with smart due dates and priorities
✅ Paste content from Teams, WhatsApp, or Email — AI auto-creates tasks
✅ See real-time activity (who viewed or edited what)
Store all files (PDFs, PPTs, Notes + Code files) in one secure vault
✅ Use a 24/7 AI Assistant trained on their own uploaded materials
✅ Get a critical feedback of their work using AI Analyzer on drafts and code
✅ Earn points and badges through a ranking system and share progress on LinkedIn
✅ Apply movie inspired themes to make the app more engaging

How we built it

I built the entire AcadFlow application using MeDo in ~3 days .
I started with one long, detailed prompt that described all the features I wanted. After I approved its 'Requirement.md' , I iteratively build the app using natural conversations:
improving the UI/UX, debugging 'file import' issues, developing the AI Analyzer, implementing real-time activity tracking, adding ranking system and 'cinematic' theme feature.
MeDo handled the full-stack development, allowing me to focus on making the app actually useful for students!

Challenges we ran into

Fixing file upload and processing issues for multiple file types (PDFs, PPTs, and code files).
Creating a beautiful, modern, and non-generic UI that feels premium and student-friendly.
Adding a ranking system from scratch including 'badges' sharable via LinkedIn.
Making the overall app student-friendly with modern features (AI analyzer , AI assistant)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

▪️Successfully built a complete, beautiful, and fully functional web app in just ~3 days using only MeDo.
▪️Created a personal AI Assistant that can understand and help with a student’s own uploaded files and notes.
▪️Developed a meaningful AI Analyzer that gives honest and constructive feedback on drafts and code.
▪️Built a Ranking System with badges and one-click LinkedIn sharing to motivate students and help build their portfolio.
▪️Turned my personal academic struggles into a practical tool that can genuinely help other students.

What we learned

Having no prior app development experience, this project was a huge learning journey for me.
I learned how full-stack applications are actually built: from ensuring plugins work smoothly to coordinating the database with the frontend. Most importantly, I discovered the true power of AI tools like MeDo. I saw how a well-written prompt can create a complete, deployable full-stack app in days, handling everything from UI to backend logic.
This project taught me that if you have a clear solution to a real problem in mind, AI can make it possible even for someone with zero coding background.

What's next for AcadFlow

▪️Better mobile responsiveness and on-the-go experience.
▪️Advanced code review and debugging features for CS/IT students.
▪️Integration with Google Calendar and university LMS platforms.
▪️Exam preparation and revision planner module
▪️Make AcadFlow freely available to all university students
