SnapSpace

Inspiration

Many people in Indonesia still lack access to digital booking platforms for sport centers, relying on manual methods such as WhatsApp chats or on-site visits, which are inefficient and limit availability for athletes and the public. Moreover, individuals with disabilities and specific needs face significant barriers to accessing sport centers, hindering their ability to improve their skills and well-being.

This inspired us to create SNAPSPACE, a streamlined, accessible, and inclusive booking solution. By integrating sport center facilities into a single digital platform, we aim to make cities more inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. At the same time, we strive to ensure that every individual, regardless of their abilities or needs, has equitable access to these facilities.

What it does

SNAPSPACE is a smart city app that revolutionizes the booking process for public sport centers. Users can easily find and reserve facilities with just a few taps, while community members can register their properties to broaden access. Our inclusive services ensure accessibility for individuals with disabilities and special needs.

How we built it

We built SNAPSPACE using a combination of modern technologies:

Backend: FastAPI framework is used to create API gateway to simplify communication and data integration to fronted system. MySQL is used for storing and processing application user data. Integrated with docker container, to simplify implementation and deployment process.

Frontend: Flutter framework is used to create a seamless and intuitive user interface. The project is currently developed for Android devices, with the potential for expansion to other platforms thanks to Flutter's multi-platform capabilities. Furthermore, the project is organized using the MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture to ensure a clear separation of concerns, improve code maintainability, and facilitate scalable development.

Design: Figma for designing user-friendly interfaces and ensuring an engaging user experience.
