Inspiration
Every founder, consultant, and networker meets valuable people every week. The problem is not collecting contacts. The problem is remembering the context behind those relationships.
A phone number alone does not tell you where you met someone, why you connected, or when you should follow up.
We wanted to build something between a simple contacts app and a complicated CRM: a lightweight relationship memory layer that helps people remember the people they meet.
What it does
ABBLE is the fastest contact capture app on earth.
It helps users add people they meet in seconds, remember where they met, and never miss important follow-ups.
Unlike traditional contact apps or CRMs, ABBLE focuses on relationship memory instead of contact storage.
Key features:
- Add a connection in under 10 seconds
- Scan business cards using OCR
- Share personal links and event QR codes for instant contact capture
- Set gentle follow-up reminders with overdue, today, and upcoming views
- Track networking activity through stats and streaks
- Export data anytime and protect it with biometric lock
ABBLE is not a contacts app. Not a CRM. It is a simple way to remember who you met, where you met them, and when to follow up.
How we built it
ABBLE was built as a cross-platform application using:
- Expo + React Native
- TypeScript
- Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Storage
- Zustand for state management
- NativeWind for UI styling
- RevenueCat for subscription management
We built ABBLE for iOS, Android, and Web PWA with a focus on speed and simplicity.
RevenueCat powers ABBLE Pro subscriptions, allowing us to provide a free tier with the first 10 connections forever while supporting paid plans for users who want to continue building their network.
The entire product was designed around one principle: capturing a relationship should take seconds, not minutes.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was building something useful without turning it into another complicated CRM.
Most relationship management tools add more fields, workflows, pipelines, and dashboards. We took the opposite approach by reducing friction and focusing only on what helps people maintain relationships.
Another challenge was creating a consistent experience across mobile and web while integrating features like OCR scanning, notifications, biometric security, authentication, and subscriptions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of building a complete cross-platform product with:
- A fast contact capture workflow
- Business card OCR scanning
- Self-service contact sharing through QR codes and links
- Follow-up reminder system
- Relationship analytics and streaks
- Secure data export and privacy controls
- Production-ready subscription infrastructure using RevenueCat
Most importantly, ABBLE feels like a product people can use immediately, not just a prototype.
What we learned
We learned that people don't need another database of contacts. They need a better memory for their relationships.
The hardest part of building productivity tools is not adding more features. It is removing unnecessary complexity.
ABBLE taught us that speed, simplicity, and thoughtful reminders can make networking more human.
What's next for ABBLE - The Fastest Contact Capture
We want to make ABBLE the personal relationship memory layer for founders, professionals, and networkers.
Future improvements include smarter relationship insights, deeper integrations, and more ways to help people maintain meaningful connections without the complexity of traditional CRMs.
