Inspiration

Our inspiration stems from the unique cultural and geographical context of Thanthonni Island, where communities have long been isolated from modern technological advancements. Observing their desire for growth and development motivated us to create an accessible educational platform.

What it does

Aarunya Academy provides tailored digital education that empowers residents of Thanthonni Island with essential skills in technology, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy, fostering socio-economic growth and community resilience.

How we built it

React for front end and Flask for developing a REST API. We also developed a multi agent system using LangGraph and LangChain.

Challenges we ran into

We encountered challenges in conducting thorough market research due to limited access to data about the community’s specific needs and preferences. Additionally, we faced obstacles such as internet connectivity issues and varying levels of digital literacy among residents, which required us to adapt our content and teaching methods continually.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully completed nearly 90% of the project from scratch, implementing robust back-end logic and AI agents. Notably, we developed a quiz generation and evaluation system utilizing LLM features, enhancing personalized learning experiences for users on Thantonni Island.

What we learned

We learned the importance of community engagement, the need for flexibility in educational approaches, and the value of creating content that resonates with local culture while addressing modern challenges.

What's next for Aarunya Academy

Looking ahead, we aim to expand our course offerings, strengthen industry collaborations, and explore mobile accessibility solutions to reach even more residents of Thanthonni Island and other islands, ensuring inclusive growth for all.
