Aaranya

Inspiration

We were inspired by the unexplored beauty of Jharkhand and its tribal culture, which remains hidden due to limited digital visibility. We wanted to create something that connects tourists with authentic experiences while empowering local communities.

What it does

Aaranya is an AI, Blockchain, and AR/VR-powered tourism platform that offers smart itineraries, secure bookings, and immersive virtual previews of destinations — bringing eco and cultural tourism to life.

How we built it

We built Aaranya using React.js, Node.js, and MongoDB for the core structure, integrated AI models for personalization, Ethereum for blockchain verification, and Unity/Three.js for AR/VR storytelling.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating blockchain in real-time services, optimizing AR/VR for all devices, and onboarding rural communities were tough, but we tackled them through iterative design and lightweight architecture.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully merged AI, Blockchain, and AR/VR into one cohesive system and created a platform that not only simplifies travel but uplifts local artisans and guides through digital empowerment.

What we learned

We learned the power of combining technology with culture — how innovation can preserve heritage while improving livelihoods. Collaboration, persistence, and design thinking made this journey rewarding.

What's next for Aaranya

We aim to scale Aaranya to other states, enhance AI itinerary intelligence, and partner with tourism boards to promote sustainable and community-driven travel experiences across India.
