Inspiration
As someone who struggles to find folks to play American Football with, as it is an unpopular sport, I've unfortunately had to leave that part of my athletic life behind. A-team aims to fix this problem, by providing an online platform that allows for users to connect with other people that are looking to play similar games.
What it does
A-team provides an opportunity to match people with other folks that are looking to play the same game. Register yourself, a whole team, or look for other people to join your team. Then, register for a court based on your current location. A-team does it all
How we built it
We built it based off a Django backend, sqlite3 database, and a standard HTML CSS front end.
Challenges we ran into
There were many challenges, most of them having to do with reading and writing data fro the front end into our database. Other challenges regarding virtual environments and image loading were also present.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud to say we achieved a level of functionality with the project. A fully functional register page that inserts user data into the database with a modern looking homepage, ready to be integrated into the backend.
What we learned
Learned to start early. We've also learned much about how to read and write data into databases, the struggles of virtual environments.
