Inspiration

This project was inspired by the feeling of time sliding forward, changing shape as our reality shifts into AI driven space. I wanted to capture the pulse of days passing, the groove of movement inside a world that is constantly rewriting itself. The desert became a symbol of timelessness. The surreal figures became echoes of the future, shaped by rhythm rather than memory. There is also a quiet influence from Alice in Wonderland: the rabbit, the clock, and the sense of chasing time as it bends, stretches, and escapes.

What it does

The project translates an original Suno composition into a visual meditation on time. It uses surreal AI generated characters and a minimal desert world to express the feeling of moments passing, repeating, dissolving, and forming again. The result is a short piece that blends groove, atmosphere, and motion to explore how time feels rather than how it looks.

How we built it

The process began with the music. The groove set the tone for the entire visual direction. Using AI image and video tools, I created ritualistic figures that move as if they are part of a larger rhythm. The desert environment was chosen for its simplicity and its ability to hold emotion through light, color, and silence. Editing shaped the flow and tied the visuals back to the pulse of the soundtrack.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge was creating a sense of emotional weight inside a minimal world. Time is abstract, and giving it visual language without narrative required precision. Another challenge was balancing surrealism with clarity, making sure the figures felt part of the environment instead of floating above it. Fine tuning pacing inside a short format also demanded careful iteration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I created a complete atmosphere with very few elements. The music and visuals merge into a single experience that communicates time through rhythm and movement. The project captures the shift between stillness and motion in a way that feels alive and intuitive. I am also proud of my ability to bring old songs from my drawer back to life and shape them into something new through AI.

What we learned

I learned how strongly a musical groove can anchor a visual concept. Working with AI tools revealed how flexible time and space become when they are shaped by sound. I also learned how minimal environments can carry deep emotion when the pacing and rhythm are right.

What's next for A simple story about time

I plan to expand this idea into a series of short pieces, each exploring a different interpretation of time and rhythm. The goal is to build a growing visual world where sound directs movement and AI helps reshape the boundaries of space and perception.
