Inspiration The idea for the recipe website came from my passion for cooking and sharing recipes with others. I wanted to create a simple platform where users can discover and try out new dishes easily.
What it does This website provides a collection of curated recipes across various categories such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desserts. Users can search for specific recipes, filter by ingredients, and get detailed step-by-step instructions.
How we built it The website was built using HTML and CSS for the structure and styling. I used responsive design principles to make the site look good on both desktop and mobile devices.
Challenges we ran into One challenge was ensuring the site remained user-friendly while displaying a lot of information on each recipe page. Another was designing the layout to be mobile-friendly and accessible.
Accomplishments that we're proud of Successfully built a clean, intuitive website layout and included responsive design for mobile users. I’m also proud of organizing the recipe content to make it easy to follow and engaging.
What we learned I gained a deeper understanding of HTML and CSS, particularly in creating responsive designs. Additionally, I learned how to structure content effectively for user engagement.
What's next for A simple recipe website I plan to add new features such as user accounts where people can save their favorite recipes, rate them, and leave reviews. I also want to incorporate JavaScript to make the site more interactive with features like recipe videos or ingredient calculators.
