Inspiration
We thought about all the innocent people getting scamed, and how unfair it was. With the rise of AI, these scam messages are harder to delineate, so we decided to create a solution for this problem.
What it does
This app analyzes the pasted message, and following different patterns and tactics, calculates the probability of the message being a scam.
How we built it
We created an AI bot and trained it by feeding it examples of scam messages and real messages, so it can calculate (based on patterns, frequency of words) the probability of it being a scam. We then used another advanced AI to give advice based on the probability that we already calculated and the context of the original message.
Challenges we ran into
Getting the second AI bot to work and some parts of the front end application.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of actually understanding the methodology used when working with AI bots. Also, the front end design and colors. The overall interface.
What we learned
We learned how to work together as a team, and helping each other out.
What's next for A.S.I.S.T
More developed features, expand its dataset so it can discern from the hardest messages, and overall helping people protect and prevent scams.
