Inspiration

My main inspiration were similar site such as studytogether.com or studystream.live. I thought it would be great idea to have a place for FGLI students to use these online study sessions, however with more feature to make it more personal.

What it does

It's site with multiple pages where one can find a few recommended website that can help people land new extracurriculars, scholarships or internships. Additionally, after logging in you can undertake a quiz that will separate the users into different teams based on their personality and field of interest, thus accessing a page called "My room". Once there, one can organize their study materials and chat with other members of the team or join group study sessions that will help them complete levels based on the time spent studying. Once a level is completed users gain accessories that they can use to personalize and decorate their own character and join a "club room" where they can play games with users outside of their team.

How we built it

I only used Figma as a tool to roughly design the website and procreate to sketch the team mascots..

Challenges we ran into

Figma was a completely unfamiliar concept that I only found recently so it took some time for me to get used to how to properly use it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of the complete design and look of the pages. There is definitely room for improvement but I am mostly satisfied with how the project idea developed.

What I learned

As I was writing the pitch report I learned a lot more about what it takes to actually make an idea into reality when talking about webpages.

What's next for A-room

I feel like A-room can pose as an inspiration to anyone who is interested in implementing this idea as for now the cost of development is not feasible for an individual.
