A Road Through the Night

A young artist, crushed by criticism, gets lost in a dark, metaphorical forest. Based on my human-written script, this AI film is his story of confronting inner demons and finding the light.

Inspiration

My story is about the universal struggle of an artist: facing criticism from others (parents, teachers) and, worse, from oneself. The dark, looping forest in the video is a metaphor for this creative despair and self-doubt. The glowing stone represents that small, internal spark of "hope" or "talent" that he has to find and trust to escape.

How I built it

Based on my original human-written script, this film was produced using a multi-tool AI workflow.

I used Midjourney to create the grainy, emotional character portraits and the dark, atmospheric world. Vidu was used to animate these stills, bringing the boy's fear and the unsettling forest to life. The entire score was composed by Suno, and the critical voices (in the flashbacks) and sound effects were generated using ElevenLabs.

Challenges I faced

The hardest part was using AI to convey raw, negative emotions—like the noisy, distorted flashbacks—without it just looking like a "bad generation." Balancing the darkness of the forest with the final, hopeful light of the museum was key to translating my script into a powerful visual story.
