Inspiration

There is a political fact: in the last two decades, the common feeling has gone from widespread Europeanism to a determined anti-Europeanism.

Who we are

Europa Repubblica is a think tank of European activists that aims to go beyond national flags to elaborate ideas and campaigns for a pan-European, transnational and futuristic democracy.

Challenges I ran into

Is evident that EU institutions have a clear issue to communicate their message to citizens across the Europe, considering also that EU speaks several different languages and express itself through a multitude of cultures at the same time. Therefore, there is a need for a new language to emerge in the European institution dialectics: a pan-European language, which does not bring to a misleading understanding of the European values. There is a need for an “European agora” that welcomes pan-European sentiments, which aims to help recreate a feeling of trust and popular belonging to the political project of a united Europe. The COVID-19 is a huge historical opportunity to let us all feel part of the same family, to overtake the social distances as a need to propose the unity of Europe in a new language, understandable to all, and above all to make Europeans fall in love with the EU project again.

How I built it

Communication means a mutual exchange between sender and receiver. I would like to build a platform which aggregates the decisions/press releases/data/information taken by the European institutions to tackle the COVID 19.
