I've wanted to make a League of Legends-like game for a while. At CrimsonHacks I jumped on the opportunity to make it!

What it does

The game simulates two groups of minion creatures (blocks) moving up and down the bottom, middle, and top lanes. The minions and your character can attack, so you must be careful with your health. There are health packs that restore your health. The goal is to lead as many minions as possible to the other end of the map. Also something may happen if your character dies.

How I built it

With Unity and C#. I started making the game during my workshop at the beginning of the hackathon.

Challenges I ran into

The project had a big scope, so it was challenging to figure out what to do when.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm happy with how I got the nav-mesh working, and the player's character moving around the map. I'm also proud of completing a game that has so many things going on during a hackathon.

What I learned

I learned how much easier it is to be productive if you're excited about a project. I also practiced raycasting, used physics masks, and found lots of uses for things that I've read and learned about.

What's next for A (Mostly Ordinary But Awesome) Game

I'm planning on leaving it as-is on my website for anyone to play. I learned a lot from this project so I hope to use what I learned to make better games in the future!
