Inspiration

We live in Mumbai, and can see and hear a lot of noise around us and feel the pollution everywhere.

What it does

The solution involves creating an application. We plan to use small cubic devices that can be attached to a traffic signal and are self-powered using a solar panel. It has a decibel meter that can register the sound level around every half hour along with a registered GPS chip that saves the data and sends it to the database and saves it to the cloud. We also have a carbon monitor that checks the pollution levels frequently. With this data, we can display the air and noise pollution levels on our app on a map of the area.

How I built it

We used google slides to create the design idea presentation.

Challenges I ran into

We ran into some challenges while delegating work to others. Additionally, we had some problems with communication and staying serious throughout.

What I learned

I learnt skills of teamwork and how to create a presentation and weed out errors in design ideas.

What's next for A map of Pollution

We plan to make it a more global endeavor, where people from all over the world sign up and play a role in the
