Inspiration
When I looked at the ethics, I realised that ethics is only talked about morality and crimes. But ethics is for everyone and the most mistreated ethics is the rights of workers. Workers provide labor yet their employees exploit their work for their own profit.
What it does
It is an website that lists how workers are exploited and two major companies that are known for how they exploit labor.
How we built it
I used Google Cloud's API of Wordpress to create a HTML website using its block-coding features. For any formatting issues, I went back into HTML to fix it.
Challenges we ran into
While I was able to find a team of four, unfortunately my teammates had to leave due to their unique circumstances such as networking issues or lack of communication. I had very little time to execute the original vision we had and I never used Wordpress before. However, after many hours of exploration, the site is managed better than it was.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I was able to use block-coding to make a HTML website in little over a day through the help of tutorials. I never used block-coding, using HTML on sites like replit to make a website. Using Wordpress was intimidating with its system, but it worked out well.
What we learned
I learned how to use Google's Wordpress as a new site of web development.
What's next for Exploitation of Labor
I would create a chatbot and create an extension every time a notorious company shows up and provide valuable alternatives based on the user's location.
