Problem

The U.S. is opening up

• We need to stay safe and prevent the spread of Covid-19 Many people wear masks improperly
• E.g. under their nose/chin)
• Stores and public spaces are unsafe with people improperly wearing masks

Solution

• Mask detection software and hardware that can detect if someone is wearing a mask improperly or not at all
• Uses A.I. to detect masks in images of people
• Software can be implemented with any camera

How it works

1. Takes an image via camera
2. Runs image through ML algorithm to detect if mouth/nose is exposed
3. If mask is not detected or under the nose, message is played: “Please wear mask”

Functionality and Features

• Software can be used with many different camera devices
• Camera can connect to other pre-existing security cameras to detect masks as well

What's next for A.I. Salvus

1. Improve detection range → use multiple algorithms for detection
2. Test software on other security devices
3. Improve user interface
4. Add temperature detection capabilities
