Inspiration

The inspiration for Home Builder Rush came from my fascination with both construction and simulation games. I’ve always been intrigued by the process of designing and building homes as you would see on my profile, and I wanted to create a game that would allow players to experience the thrill of taking on building projects, managing resources, and transforming empty plots of land into dream homes. On top of that, I’ve always enjoyed games that have a fast-paced, time-management element, and I wanted to combine that with the satisfaction of a home-building experience. I love the idea of players not only getting to build, but also race against time, which makes for a fun and rewarding challenge. There’s something uniquely satisfying about creating a space from the ground up, and I wanted to capture that excitement in a game.

What it does

It simulates building a house in a fun social and challenging way.

How we built it

Its built with horizon code blocks

Challenges we ran into

The Challenges we ran into were showing the percentage of boards nailed not showing all the decimal points . Also ran into a issue with add multiple colors as a choice for painting.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Combining the thrill of time management with the creativity of home building is no small feat. Creating a unique gameplay loop that’s engaging, fast-paced, and fun, that’s a huge accomplishment.

What we learned

We learned that working together as a team in a fast pace environment you can successfully complete any task.

What's next for Home Builder Rush

Individual player stats and completing lighting and flooring and other vital parts of the home.
