Inspiration
Nowadays, it's difficult to determine what materials are recyclable, and where they should be placed. What products on store shelves are green choices?
What it does
Two options:
- Scan a barcode and receive a personalized review of the product's "greenness" score and the company's background in green choices
- Scan an item to be disposed to receive feedback of the material it is made of, so you can choose the right recycling option.
How I built it
This app was built using React-Native, JavaScript, Python, Flask, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
Challenges I ran into
It was difficult to link all the sub-components together and test it while working remotely.

React-native does not play very well with web requests.
