Inspiration

Artificial Intelligence is becoming part of everyday decision-making, but many critical decisions still require human judgment. We wanted to explore a future where humans and AI work together instead of replacing one another. A Glimpse of the Future demonstrates how Human-in-the-Loop AI can make investigations more transparent, explainable, and trustworthy.

What it does

A Glimpse of the Future is an interactive prototype that lets users explore a future AI-powered world and investigate a justice case. Users review evidence alongside AI, analyze information, and reach a transparent final decision instead of relying on AI alone.

Challenges we ran into

Designing an intuitive Human-in-the-Loop workflow. Balancing human judgment with AI recommendations. Creating a smooth investigation experience while working within hackathon time constraints. Rapid UI iteration and integrating different project components before the deadline.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a working Human-in-the-Loop investigation prototype. Demonstrated transparent AI-assisted decision making. Created an interactive investigation experience instead of a static demo. Delivered a complete end-to-end concept within the hackathon timeframe.

What we learned

Human oversight is essential for responsible AI. Explainability increases trust in AI systems. Rapid prototyping and iterative development are critical during hackathons. Great AI products focus on collaboration between humans and AI rather than automation alone . What's next for A Glimpse of the Future

Expand into multiple future domains such as healthcare, education, business, and smart cities. Add real AI reasoning with Large Language Models. Improve the cinematic interface and immersive experience. Introduce multiple investigation scenarios and richer evidence analysis. Deploy the application publicly and continue developing it as an educational demonstration of Human-in-the-Loop AI.
