Inspiration

The existence of a student dilemma when choosing a college major makes many students feel that they have made a mistake in choosing a major. This dilemma exists because of the incompatibility of information held by students between pursuing a dream or making a living. Therefore, we want to assist students in answering personal questions about choosing a college major

What it does

we assist students in answering personal questions by considering the facts of the field of science, soft skills and the work environment they will be going through.

How we built it

The data that we use consist of major profile descriptions, talent interests, occupations, and salaries. We took the data from Quipper, a student education consulting service platform. We then train and test the data to construct the model using NLP. This model will be the solution to the students' personal questions, where the model will answer with the major(s) that suits the student along with its description.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge we face is to maximize virtual assistant performance with various training based on NLP model, intents and utterances

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to learn kore.ai in such a short time and can use the capabilities just through the documentation. It is simple yet very useful. Even though we are using a low-code platform, this platform still challenges us to think and be creative about what we are trying to achieve

What we learned

Platform Kore.ai has helped us in creating virtual assistant bots. Kore.ai provides an excellent bot-making system with various features such as Knowledge Graph, Natural Language Processing, Intelligence, and Testing. In addition, the deployment is integrated with well-known platforms and the perfomance can be analyzed.

What's next for A Use Case Development

This virtual assistant will be used if there is a use case that fits market needs (including Quipper). We can continue to do more in-depth research and implement it across multiple platforms.
